Louisville Falls to 19th in Latest BCS Standings

After losing for the first time on Saturday at Syracuse, Louisville dropped to 10 positions to No. 19 in this week’s BCS standings released on Sunday evening. The Cardinals also fell eight spots to No. 18 in the latest USA Today coaches’ poll and dropped nine positions to No. 20 in this week’s Associated Press Top 25. Entering the 12th week of the season, Louisville is joined in the national rankings by BIG EAST Conference member Rutgers (No. 22 in BCS standings/No. 20 in USA Today/No. 22 in AP), while
Cincinnati is among the teams receiving votes outside the top 25 in the coaches’ poll and AP poll.

Up next, Louisville (9-1, 4-1) have its second and final bye week of the season before hosting Connecticut on Senior Day at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 24. Game time and television details for the home finale are expected to be announced on Monday.
