After last night’s road win at Southern Mississippi, Louisville moved up one position to No. 16 in the USA Today coaches’ poll and remained No. 19 in the Associated Press Top 25 released on Sunday. Entering week six of the season, the Cardinals are joined in the national rankings by BIG EAST Conference foes Rutgers (No. 21 in USA Today/No. 22 in AP) and Cincinnati (No. 23 in USA Today).
Up next, unbeaten Louisville (5-0) will have its first bye week of the season before opening BIG EAST action on the road against Pittsburgh on Saturday, Oct. 13 at Heinz Field. Game time for the Cardinals and Panthers as well as television details are expected to be announced on Monday afternoon.
