2012 Louisville Football Outlook: Tight Ends

The Cardinals are thin at tight end this season with the loss of Josh Chichester to graduation. Senior Nate Nord is the most experienced player at tight end, but was limited due to injury. He caught four passes for 24 yards and a touchdown and showed signs of being a productive player. Junior Chris White, a walk-on, came on late in the season and gave the Cardinals a boost. He caught five passes for 73 yards, all coming in four of the last five games. He made a couple of big plays in the passing game and should be more effective this fall. Sophomore Ryan Hubbell, a junior-college transfer, participated in the spring and will be an integral part of the offense. Junior Gerald Christian, a transfer from Florida, is the most talented player in this unit, but will have to sit out this year. He is a player to watch nationally in 2013.
