David Akers (San Francisco, Placekicker) – Akers connected on field goals of 29 and 26 yards and booted two extra points for eight total points in the 49ers’ 20-10 victory over Cleveland.
Deion Branch (New England, Wide Receiver) – Branch earned the start at wide receiver and had four catches for 36 yards and one touchdown in a 25-17 loss to Pittsburgh.
Elvis Dumervil (Denver, Defensive End) – Dumervil earned the start at right defensive end in a 45-10 loss to Detroit. He had three total tackles, two of which were solo, in the loss.
William Gay (Pittsburgh, Cornerback) – Gay earned the start at left cornerback in a 25-17 victory over New England. He had four stops in the win.
Breno Giacomini (Seattle, Offensive Tackle) – Giacomini saw time off the bench in a 34-12 loss to Cincinnati.
Brandon Johnson (Cincinnati, Linebacker) – Johnson earned the start at linebacker in a 34-12 victory over Seattle. He had seven tackles in the game, including one for a loss of three yards.
Eric Wood (Buffalo, Center) – Wood earned the start at center in a 23-0 victory over Washington.
